My Wonderful Boys

Yesterday I took the boys to a park in Palo Alto. The park had a handful of kids already there. Most of them were younger than Jimmy 7 and Peter 6. I was so proud of them. They were so sweet and nice to all the kids there. I was told more than once how good and polite they were.

New Blanket

Yesterday I bought a new blanket for our bed. This morning Peter climbs into our bed, under the new blanket, and says, "Mmm, this blanket is like drinking milk" : D

I have a good friend in San Juan del Sur Nicaragua that has a beautiful vacation home for rent (Vanessa Tittle Pattison). I love SJdS, one of my favorite places on earth!! Summer is right around the corner....Nicaragua is a great, inexpensive, vacation spot.

♥ I'm One Lucky Mom

Jimmy's so cute. I regularly hear him say, "Mom, what does _____mean? Oh wait, I know, it means___." I think he just needs to hear the word out loud and he realizes...oh yeah...I know that word. Makes me smile every time!

 Peter is my sweet little helper! I often ask him to pick something up for me, or stick something in the sink etc and he says, "sure" and just does it. He's also my shoe-finder. When it's time to get shoes and coats on and get out the door Peter is on shoe detail. We either ask him to help find the shoes, or he just does it to be helpful. Such a sweet heart!

The Tooth Fairy's Comin' To Town

Jimmy and Peter both lost the same tooth on the same day! They are both so excited!!

Cookies

Because my kids were being good I told them they could have a cookie. Jimmy takes a bite and and says, "Mmm, these cookie are scrumptious!" I look at him with a smile and reply, "They're scrumptious eh?" He says, "Yeah. It's another word for delicious". That kid cracks me up!

It's a beautiful morning!!

It's a beautiful morning!! Feeling good, already did the dishes and laundry. Now doing school with the kids and they're actually doing it without complaining!! Hallelujah!!

9 Pounds

Thanks to the juicer I got for Christmas and my new favorite snack of loaded celery (cream cheese or peanut butter), I am down 9 pounds!

Cranky

It cracks me up! My boys are going through this phase that when they get mad they make cranky faces and their bodies go rigid then is followed by kicking or screaming...I swear one of these days they're going to rip their shirts open, grow to 10 feet tall and turn green.

Shmars

Today Jimmy, my 7 year-old, asks me; Mom, can we have some shmoos, shmoes, uh, shmars? Can we have shmars? I have a confused look on my face, so he says, you know, with the marshmallow and graham crackers. Oh, s'mores...sure

The Day After Christmas

The boys slept in until 7:30 or 8:00 on Christmas. But they woke up at 4:00 this morning to play with their new toys. : D

Jimmy Lost His First Tooth

Yeah! Jimmy lost his first tooth today. It was the same tooth as Peter too. He's so excited!

Peter Lost A Tooth

Peter lost a tooth! (If you don't count the bike accident a few years ago, it's his first one.) He is so excited! Daddy took him straight to the ice cream shop, 'cause that's what Peter wanted. : )
Jimmy's same tooth is really loose too. I bet his will come out tomorrow.

Loose Teeth

Yesterday I found out that both my boys have loose teeth. We were at the library and had just read a book about a boy with a loose tooth.  Then Peter says, "I think my teeth are loose"  So I feel his teeth and his two lower front teeth were loose.  Then Jimmy says "I think mine are loose too"  Sure enough Jimmy's same two teeth were loose.
They both had loads of questions. Peter was pretty excited about it all. Jimmy is really worried that he'll accidentally swallow his teeth.

Is it bed time yet?!?!

Is it bed time yet?!?! You can tell my kids have been out of their routine for a few days....they are really cranky today.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Had a great Thanksgiving weekend in Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe with some of my favorite people!

Happy and Completely Satisfied

I am so happy and completely satisfied with my two beautiful boys!

But every now and then that part of women that makes them want more babies gets going...especially when there are a lot of people around me having babies. I sometimes think what it would be like to have a little girl.

Maybe one day I will have more children...but if I don't I'm totally okay with that. I definitely don't miss the sleepless nights and diaper changes
